Text to 9-1-1 became available statewide in North Dakota early this month, according to North Dakota 9-1-1.
It's available to customers of any of the six cellular carriers operating in the state: AT&T, Sagebrush, Sprint, SRT, T-Mobile and Verizon. Via text, you can now reach 9-1-1 in an emergency, and that message will be routed to a public safety answering point (PSAP) for response.
