All-Star events kick off in Twin Cities
Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - The State of Minnesota is gonna have a fun next four years. The Ryder Cup and Super Bowl still to come. But it all got kicked off this weekend, in the Twin Cities, with Fan Fest for the Major League All Star Game.
With many former hometown heroes at the event.
Fans are already a buzz with the game not until Tuesday. Some former Twin All-Star's in attendance, included Tony Oliva who was an 8 time all-star, including one in Minnesota in 1965.
Another is Rod Carew, who played in the mid-summer classic an amazing 18 times in his career.

All the festivities continue through the week, we'll be there starting on Monday to meet the All-Stars, reports begin on WDAY at 6 and 10, join us live from Target Field Monday and Tuesday for the 85th All-Star game.
