Annual Rydell Car & Bike Show to Feature Classic Vehicles, Charity Auction
GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The ninth annual Rydell Car & Bike Show is back this year, featuring an auction and a wide range of classic automobiles on display.
The event, which will benefit Altru’s Hospice in Grand Forks, is an opportunity for the Rydell family to meet with local residents and give back to the community. It’s open to vehicles and attendees of all ages, and the organizers welcome any special cars, trucks, SUVs, bikes and tricycles that owners would like to display. This year’s show will take place Sunday, Sept. 21 from 12 to 4 p.m.
“We are very excited for this year’s Rydell Car & Bike Show, as it always brings in some outstanding and often-interesting classic cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles and more,” said Brian Rydell of the Rydell Group. “This is also a great opportunity for us to support an important local cause, and we have already received some remarkable donations for our auction. We invite everyone from the community to come out and enjoy this terrific event.”
Included in the 2014 Rydell Car & Bike Show are a number of valuable auction items, which participants will have the opportunity to bid on — with all proceeds going to Altru’s Hospice. The Rydell family has pledged a corporate match of up to $40,000 for all donations received at the event, and they would like to exceed the $70,000 participants raised for the L.I.S.T.E.N. Center of Grand Forks in 2013. None of the expenses associated with organizing the show are deducted from the total raised.
