Castle Park will not be turned into an RV Park following Tuesday's City Council meeting
Castle Park will not be turned into an RV Park following Tuesday's City Council meeting in Crookston.
After 4 to 4 tie, Mayor David Genereaux cast the tie breaking vote that kept city land from developing a 4 half acre development with campsites in Castle Park.
The development was meant to bring more tourism to the area and provide a place for season American Crystal Sugar workers to stay.
Castle Park supporters say city parks should be kept intact.
City Administrator Shannon Stassen said, "the opposition is opposed to any city land going towards and RV park."
