Elizabeth Smart to speak in Grand Forks in February
Last night WDAZ told you about Elizabeth Smart's talk in South Dakota about her 9-month abduction in 2002 at the age of 14.
Now known as Elizabeth Smart-Gilmour, she told a group of health care professionals, law enforcement and social workers in Sioux Falls that their work "makes a difference" in the fight against human trafficking and sexual abuse.
Elizabeth Smart-Gilmour will be speaking in Grand Forks next February.
The event at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the UND campus will be on Monday, February 23rd.
It is free and open to the public.
