Fallen Red River Valley officers honored
Fallen law enforcement officers from the Red River Valley were honored today. 41 officers who have fallen in the line of duty throughout the country were remembered at the 4th Annal Northern Valley Police Week Memorial Service.
Local, state and federal law enforcement, Air Force and Royal Canadian Mounted Police were all apart of the service. The memorial reflected the unity of the men and women who serve the public and those who have lost their lives.
"It's kind of inspirational for all of us to be able to get together and honor police officers who have died in the line of duty. Not only police officers but the military," said Grand Forks County Sheriff Bob Rost. Law enforcement nation-wide take part in Police Week.
