Fargo police arrest suspect after gunshots fired this morning
FARGO – Police have arrested a suspect after reports that gunshots were fired early this morning in southwest Fargo.
Shortly after 3 a.m., a large number of officers converged on an area of large apartment complexes along the 4600 block of 49th Avenue South.
Several people called to report gunshots, and one caller said a man was responsible, police said. Police arrived on the scene and shortly after arrested Armando Mata Zavala, 22, of Fargo.
Police say Zavala had hidden 2 weapons in a nearby field, an automatic rifle and a revolver. He faces several charges, including Theft of a Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
