Former UND wide receiver Weston Dressler looking to Kansas City Chiefs roster out of training camp
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - From one local hopeful to another, Weston Dressler is hoping to catch on with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The former UND all-American and Bismarck native is trying to lock down a wide receiver spot in training camp.
Dressler became a star up in the CFL, helping Saskatchewan to a Grey Cup championship last year. Now, he's trying to get used to the transition of playing in the NFL.
Weston Dressler/Kansas City Wide Receiver: “There's definitely some bigger guys out there. There's gonna be a lot more contact, we'll put the pads on here in a couple days. Get kind of acclimated to that part of the game. We've had hands on a little bit the last few days but not quite like what we'll see with pads on.”
The Chiefs first pre-season game is a week from Thursday at home against the Bengals.
