Former VCSU football player convicted of murder
A former Valley City State University football player has been convicted of killing another man outside a Minneapolis night club.
A Hennepin county jury found 22-year-old Cedric Chappell, Jr. guilty of murder and attempted murder of the September gunfight.
One man was killed and another was wounded in the shooting.
Chappell was arrested four days after the shooting while at VCSU football practice. He will be sentenced in September.
