Fort Totten, ND (WDAY TV) - The Fort Totten Days Pow Wow is in full swing today on the Spirit Lake Reservation.

Thousands of Native Americans are visiting Spirit Lake from more than 30 tribes around the country.

Hundreds of dancers took part in today's Grand Entry, one of four over the weekend honoring native culture.

Visitors say this weekend is a chance to share their heritage, reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

James Clairmon/Rosebud Tribe, South Dakota: “Because they're great people. You can't get away from that. They treat you nice. You know, they're just nice.”

Fort Totten Days will wrap up tomorrow with a parade at 10 a.m. before a final Grand Entry scheduled for 1 p.m.
