Grand Forks Horticulture Society holds 30th annual Garden Tour this weekend
The beauty of nature can be found in our own backyards.
The Grand Forks Horticulture Society will be holding its 30th annual garden tour this weekend.
This year will feature 8 area homeowners that will open their yards.
People can expect ponds, backyard oasis's, and even some lounging pets.
The gardeners have been working all season long to display their beautiful gardens in full bloom.
For some, this is more than just a hobby but a love that spans several generations.
Gardener Jill Grzadzielewski said, "it's in my blood. My parents were avid gardeners. My grandfather was an amazing gardener. In fact, he gardened this entire area for years. When I was a child we had to go out and help and I hated it but eventually the passion grew."
The tours hours are Saturday from 10 to 4 and Sunday from noon to 4.
Proceeds go towards enhancing area park gardens as well as gifts to the city libraries.
