Grand Forks housing market among busiest
Grand Forks is among the 100 fastest growing housing markets in the country, according to North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple’s office Thursday.
Citing the Census Bureau, he said that there were 404 new housing units last year, a growth rate of 1.4 percent, enough to be No. 93.
He said that North Dakota in general has the fastest growing market in the nation with 10,207 new units, a growth rate of 3.1 percent. That’s compared to the national average of 0.3 percent.
Among North Dakota communities, Williams County has a growth rate of 15.6 percent, No. 1 in the nation. No. 2 Stark County has 13.5 percent. No. 4 Ward County has 5.1 percent. No. 18 Cass County has 2.7 percent.
