Limited access to South Washington Street during nighttime hours
From the City of Grand Forks: Work will be conducted at night this week as construction continues on Washington Street in Grand Forks. During this time cross traffic will be impacted at four intersections during the evening hours along the Washington Street corridor where construction is taking place. Beginning Tuesday night, June 17, from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, eastbound and westbound traffic at the intersections 17th Ave. S and 24th Ave. S will NOT be able to access Washington Street.
On Wednesday night, June 18, from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday morning eastbound and westbound traffic at the intersections of 28th Ave. S and 32nd Ave. S will NOT be able to access Washington Street.
The closures are due to concrete repairs at the intersections and are weather dependent. Motorists will need to utilize an alternate route during the closure times. Northbound and southbound traffic on Washington Street will not be affected by the closure.
The Washington Street project is expected to be completed by September.
