Man charged with transporting child pornography appears in Federal court
A man charged with transporting child pornography at the Pembina border station appeared in federal court in Grand Forks Tuesday.
Garold Miller, from Bridger Montana is accused of possessing thousands of images of child pornography that was downloaded at various truck and rest stops.
Miller had a detention hearing today.
The judge ruled Miller would stay in custody until a bed became available at Centre Inc - a halfway house with locations in Grand Forks, Fargo and Mandan.
Authorities searched Miller's truck at the Pembina border station in July.
They found several devices that allegedly had about 26 thousand still images and more than 800 videos of child pornography.
