Minnkota's transmission line project up and running in Grand Forks
The largest transmission project in the history of North Dakota is up and running in Grand Forks.
Senator John Hoeven joined Representative Kevin Cramer and many others Monday to celebrate Minnkota Power Cooperative's 250-mile transmission line project from Center, North Dakota to Grand Forks.
The project, with a $353 million price tag, began in 2008.
It crosses eleven counties across the state.
Officials say it will not only help to supply the Red River Valley with reliable power, but have a much further reach.
