National Ice Cream Day

How about a sundae on a Sunday? Today is National Ice Cream Day, as proclaimed by president Ronald Reagan. In 1984, the congress and the house passed a resolution making July National Ice Cream Month, and specifically,  the third "sundae" of the month as National Ice Cream Day. At the time it was created, ten percent of all milk produced in the United States was used for ice cream.
