NDSU defeats Weber State 24-7; College GameDay coming back to Fargo
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - When news broke over twitter this morning that ESPN's College GameDay would be making a return trip to Fargo next weekend if NDSU could beat Weber State tonight. Bison fans were quick to fire back with "we'll see you next week."
Chris Klieman told us a few hours before kick-off that he knew about the tweet from Game Day, but maintained that his team was focused on the Wildcats and winning their 20th straight on the road.
After a roughing the passer penalty, Bison take advantage, John Crockett with an 11 yard run down to the 1, he'd score on the next play, 7-0 NDSU.
Weber answers right back, Eric Wilkes with a 27 yard run to the outside, he gets in, we're tied up at 7.
Same score in the 2nd, Bison driving, but Carson Wentz is flushed out, he throws across the field and is picked off by De'Ante Florence.
But NDSU gets a turnover to go its way, Kyle Emanuel with his 2nd sack, ball is loose, scooped by Carlton Littlejohn, he scores his 2nd career TD. 14-7 NDSU at the break.
The defense continues to haunt the home team, Emanuel relentless on this play, picks up his 3rd sack of the game, his 5th of the season. He had 7 and a half all of last year.
Late 3rd now, King Frazier, the transfer from Nebraska, finds a gaping hole to put the Bison in front 21-7. NDSU with 177 yards rushing,
