North Dakota and Minnesota law enforcement join forces for Click It or Ticket campaign
North Dakota and Minnesota law enforcement officials are joining forces again this year in the Click It or Ticket campaign to encourage drivers to buckle their seatbelts.
Each year in Minnesota, less than half the people who die in motor vehicle crashes are buckled up.
In North Dakota, that number is 2 out of 3. Car collision survivor Jesse Stricker of East Grand Forks was recognized Wednesday for buckling up.
Car Crash Survivor Jesse Stricker said, "I never get in the car without my seatbelt and when other people get in my car. I mean these is always that one person, oh I don't need, I don't need it, and I'm just like well I'm not driving anywhere unless the seatbelts are all on everybody. I'm just grateful I can walk."
This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend. One of the busiest weekends of the year on the road.
