Northland gets $5.9M for UAS
Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls will receive $5.9 million to expand its unmanned aerial systems program.
The Minnesota House passed a capital investment bill Thursday that included $18.2 million in infrastructure projects for northwest Minnesota, including $7.5 million for projects in Thief River Falls.
NCTC will use its money to expand facility space for UAS training in its aviation maintenance program.
“This expansion will help draw more and more students to Northland and graduate a world-class workforce,” said Rep. Deb Kiel, R-Crookston, in a press release.
