Soldiers Honored In Freedom Salute In Grand Forks

 More than 200 North Dakota National Guard soldiers were honored after returning from a yearlong homeland security mission. The Guard held a public celebration called a Freedom Salute Sunday afternoon in Grand Forks for the 1st Battalion of the 188th Air Defense Artillery Regiment. The soldiers served in the Washington, D.C. area from last July to May. While there they helped protect the air space around the nation's capital.
