Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - it may be masters Sunday, but there was also history to be made at Target Field today.

The Twins trying to sweep the Royals, and match their sweep total of division opponents from a year ago, one, they did it to the White Sox.

A win would also give Minnesota it's earliest sweep in a season, since 2007.

Scoreless until the bottom of the 7th, when Josmil Pinto, looks like he's swinging a hammer at this pitch, the 2-run home run gives the Twins the first lead of the game.

But, the Royals reply with 3 runs in the next half inning, Eric Hosmer strikes this one to deep center, and Kansas City grabs it's first lead of the afternoon.

The madness continues in the bottom of the 8th, bases loaded for Chris Hermann, who chops it to the infield, pitcher Wade Davis fields it, and chucks it to the backstop.

Pedro Florimon scores, and Brian Dozier hussles all the way from 2nd, and just beats the tag at home.

wins back in front 4-3.

Glen Perkins on to get the save, he retires the first two batters, the 3rd pops it up, catcher Kurt Suzuki has trouble fielding it, and it drops foul, but the umpire calls it an out because of catcher interference, take a look.

That's the final out, Twins hold on for the 4-3 win and the sweep.
