A Grand Forks man was arrested Sunday after police say he was involved in an accident and fled from the scene in his vehicle.
Police say Alexander Pribula was found at a southeastern Grand Forks home after officers followed a car fluid trail from an accident in the 3800 block of Belmont Road.
The accident was reported at 5:13 a.m. by two passers-by. Responding officers found a Pontiac Sunfire with heavy damage and a Kia Sportage that had secondary collision damage.
After following the fluid trail, officers found Pribula and the striking vehicle, a 2007 Cadillac Escalade, at the home. Police say Pribula was trying to leave the home in a different vehicle when he was arrested.
Pribula was charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a property crash and possession of drug paraphernalia. More charges could be filed and investigation into the incident continues.
