Today people in Devils Lake came out to buy homemade treats for a good cause-and even had the chance to meet Santa.

Senior Meals and Services hosted Santa's Sweet Shop today to raise money for it's program. The program is for people age 60 and older. It gets some federal funding, but it needs to come up with local match money as well. Volunteers started getting ready for the sale back in October. People showed their support as they bought homemade cookies, bars, and breads and bid on items in a silent auction.

LaMae Bergan: "With it being a little bit cold I was afraid that people weren't going to come out, but the first hour we got rid of all of our 250 boxes that people go around and pick out piece by piece what they want to buy."

Bergan says she was pleased with the turnout today, and that the program hoped to raise 3 to 4 thousand dollars.
