Century Elementary School in Grand Forks is helping the Minot School District in a unique way.
The Parent Teacher Organization at Century Elementary decided to donate Box Tops collected at the school last spring.
Six schools in Minot suffered flood damage. One middle school was completely under water.
The PTO has more than 1,300 Box Tops ready to send to Minot to help them get ready for the school year.
"What they're trying to do is they're trying to get supplies back for the teachers, they're trying to help them get these portable classrooms that they have set up, organized and outfitted for the school year," PTO member Jennifer Dame said.
Box Tops can be found on General Mills products from food to Kleenex and Ziploc bags. They're worth 10 cents to a dollar.
