BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Mayville State University and Williston State College have been given approval to revamp major construction projects on the two campuses.
The North Dakota Legislature's Budget Section approved the changes Tuesday.
Mayville State wants to add a classroom and faculty offices to a new addition to Mayville's library and science buildings. The project's $4.96 million cost won't change.
Williston wants to raise the maximum cost of a new residence hall from $9.4 million to $9.9 million. President Raymond Nadolny (nah-DOL'-nee) also wants to put a building project manager on his staff.
Legislators agreed to give Williston State up to $200,000 to hire an outside manager. The two-year college will be doing three major construction projects, costing more than $16 million.
