Grand Forks YMCA Renovations Ahead of Schedule

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Renovations at the YMCA Family Center might be finished earlier than expected.
Two levels are being built to provide more space for programs along with two new racquetball courts.
Work started last month and and was projected to take about nine months, but CEO Debbie Thompson says work could be done earlier.
"We've been talking about this now for several years and we've been working with the Park District on a campaign for several years. So to finally see that coming to fruition, members are very excited. It's kind of a buzz," Thompson said.
The YMCA is also raising money for new equipment.
The renovations could be done in six months.
