CROOKSTON, MN (WDAZ-TV) - An outside agency is being brought in to assist with a "critical incident review" of a fatal crash in Crookston.
Ricardo Mello is accused of stealing a police car and killing a man in a subsequent collision Saturday in downtown Crookston.
He faces is second-degree murder charges.
Mello allegedly hit a pickup and killed 78-year-old Eddie Briggs of Thief River Falls.
Mello remains in custody at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston.
Bond was set Tuesday at $750,000.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for November 21st.
