GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - There may a few knives flying in Grand Forks soon, but it'll all be in good fun.
The owners of Kobe's, a Japanese restaurant in Fargo and Bismarck, plan to open a location in the vacant Leever's building on S. Washington in December, according to the Grand Forks Herald.
Project manager Dan Clark tells the newspaper an opening date of December 15 is planned.
The restaurant will feature what's called teppanyaki, where customers will sit together around an iron grill and a chef, who not only will prepare the meal but will also perform some tricks like juggling utensils or making a flaming onion volcano.
The building, which has been vacant since 2007, is about 35,000 square feet. The Herald reports that the restaurant will take up about 7,500 square feet and a gym will use about 15,000. There could be another tenant added later.
