MANDAREE, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says four people died after a semitrailer crossed the center line and collided head-on with a pickup south of Mandaree on Sunday.
Killed in the crash were 21-year-old Sarah Darlene Johnson, the pickup driver, and the three other occupants in the vehicle: 26-year-old Adrian Ross Little Owl, 5-year-old Gracie May Canyon Fox, and 2-year-old Layla Little Owl.
All of the victims are from Four Bears.
Authorities say the accident happened at 8:22 a.m. Sunday when the semi driven by 24-year-old Alvin Martinez, of Vernal, Utah, crossed the center line on North Dakota Highway 22. Martinez was transported by ambulance to McKenzie County Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
