GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Officials at the University of North Dakota say the number of students enrolled has set another record.
The school recorded 14,697 students during the fourth-week enrollment tally. This is up 3.5 percent, or 503 students, from last year's final count of 14,194 students.
The count taken during the fourth week is considered the official enrollment number.
The number of returning undergraduates increased by 394 students, or 5 percent, to 8,557. The Graduate School increased by 4 percent, from 2,560 students to 2,673 students now. The number of professional students in the law and medical schools increased from 495 last year to 502 this year.
UND Vice President for Student Affairs Lori Reesor attributed the growth to a continued focus on advising and support services for students.
