3 seriously injured in crash between semi and car on Thursday afternoon.

Three people are seriously hurt after an accident on Highway 2 near Larimore.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the accident happened a little after 2:00 this afternoon. A 2003 Freightliner semi driven by 73-year-old Darrell Brandt of Cavalier was driving north on Highway 18 when he crossed Highway 2 and hit a westbound car driven by a 40-year-old Florida man. The driver, and two other passengers in the car are seriously injured and were taken to Altru Hospital. No one in the car was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
