GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Court documents shed more light on a drug bust that took place Wednesday in the Walmart parking lot, causing multiple officers to draw high-powered assault rifles.
According to the Grand Forks Herald, Christian Justin Diaz and Jaime Diaz Jr., both of Donna, TX, were arrested and charged with selling drugs to two undercover officers in the parking lot.
The two men, who are brothers, appeared in Grand Forks County court on Thursday.
Christian Justin Diaz is charged with two counts of delivery of cocaine and two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, all of which are Class A felonies.
Jaime Diaz Jr. is charged with criminal conspiracy, a Class A felony.
According to court documents, on June 30, Christian Diaz sold about an ounce of cocaine to an undercover officer for $1,600.
On July 31, Christian Diaz allegedly sold two ounces of cocaine and an ounce of meth to an officer for $6,000.
At about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, the two arrived in the Walmart parking lot in a black Chevy Silverado pickup. Christian Diaz exited the pickup and entered the undercover officer's vehicle and delivered eight ounces of meth.
The two brothers were then immediately arrested.
Christian Diaz's bond was set at $50,000, while Jaime's was set at $30,000.
