GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - The Salvation Army is working to fill their coat racks with new and slightly-used winter coats.
Their annual winter coat distribution will begin on Tuesday of next week and they are still collecting coats for both kids and adults, boot, hats, scarves and mittens.
Last year, the Salvation Army provided 450 people with warm winter clothes.
Donations are slightly down from last year, so the Salvation Army is hoping more people will donate before next week.
"You can just come in and we'll find out how many people in their family and so that hopefully we can get a coat for everyone in their family and especially for the little kids because you want to make sure that they're warm for the winter," Maj. Linda Fjellman said.
The coat distribution will be Tuesday through Friday next week at the Salvation Army on University Avenue. Just bring an ID.
