GF Library Holds Technology Petting Zoo

Employees from Best Buy held a technology petting zoo allowing people to try out the latest electronics.

Everyone was invited to explore today's most popular devices at the Grand Forks Public Library.

There were about 20 gadgets on hand, from tablets to cameras and netbooks.

The library also had its stock of E-Readers available for people to learn how to check out books using the Library To Go network.

"Just to basically get their hands on something new without being kind of shy or uneasy about it. And this way they're not feeling pressured into purchasing something, they can just kind of have an environment where its just kind of easy going," Best Buy employee Bjorn Fredrickson said.

Library staff says they would like to do something similar to this again next year. They would have it closer to the holiday season so people can check out new electronics before Christmas.
