Boardings at North Dakota's eight commercial and regional airports in November increased 6.6 percent over the year.

State Aeronautics Commission director Larry Taborsky cites several reasons, including a better economy and good travel deals.

He says six airports had 10-year records for the month.

Williston and Minot were the only airports to see decreases in boardings over the year, of 4.2 percent and 14 percent, respectively.

Devils Lake saw the biggest percentage increase in boardings in November, of 42.5 percent. Fargo had the biggest increase in actual passengers, with 3,019 more boardings.
