THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN (WDAZ-TV) - Some people living just outside of Thief River Falls have complained of fumes coming from a temporary asphalt plant.

The plant was set up near the airport to make asphalt for the reconstruction of the runway.

The asphalt plant has been shut down and moved further away from residential areas.

A company spokesperson from the Knife River Materials company says they recently found out they didn't have a permit to set up in their first location.

The Pennington County Attorney will decide now if there will be any charges.

"Continuing to investigate that matter and hopfully once we gather all of the information, we can make our decision," attorney Al Rogalla said.

Rogalla says he'll decide if there will be any charges in the next couple weeks.
