GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - UND head football coach Chris Mussman said Tuesday that two of his players are out with injuries for the rest of the season.
Junior offensive guard Emmett Lynch and senior defensive end Broc Bellmore were injured in two different games. They're both starters. This week is a bye week for UND.
For Bellmore, it's an apparent shoulder injury. He was hurt in the game against Southern Utah two weeks ago.
In five games this year, Bellmore, a West Fargo native, had eight solo tackles, five assists and three sacks.
Bellmore also had a blocked kick this year, the seventh of his career.
Emmett Lynch hurt an ankle in last Saturday's win over Montana Western.
He's the second started on the defensive line lost to injury, joining Brandon Quesenberry.
Mussman says other linemen must be ready to play different positions, but he says the o-line cannot afford any additional injuries.
