GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A Grand Forks man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he allegedly crashed into a parked vehicle Wednesday night.

Police say at 9:15 p.m., Nathan Sapp, 33, was driving a 1999 Honda south in the 600 block of N. 24th St. when he struck an unoccupied 2007 Chrysler Sebring that was parked facing north.

The collision caused the Sebring to hit another vehicle, an unoccupied 2003 Hyundai that was also parked facing north. The Sebring then went up and onto the east berm.

Sapp was taken to Altru Hospital via ambulance with unknown injuries, but police said he was arrested and taken to the county jail. At the scene, Sapp could be seen inside the ambulance with blood on his head and face but appeared to be conscious.

Thursday morning, a booking officer at the Grand Forks County jail said Sapp was no longer incarcerated.

The accident remains under investigation. If you have any information, call police at 787-8000.
