Jury Finds Grand Forks Man Guilty of Child Sex Abuse

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A jury has found Gerald Middleton, 43, of Grand Forks, guilty of felony continuous sexual abuse of a child and corruption of a minor.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A jury has found Gerald Middleton, 43, of Grand Forks, guilty of felony continuous sexual abuse of a child and corruption of a minor.

The jury reached its verdict this weekend after eight hours of deliberations and a five-day trial.

s charged with abusing a girl for several years from 2004 to 2009, starting when she was just 11 years old.

In 2020, the then 17-year-old reported the crime.

Middleton earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He faces life in prison when he's sentenced in January.
