GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Possibly the spookiest yard in town brought ghouls and goblins alike to take in the many Halloween decorations that are a yearly staple for one Grand Forks family.

Kelly Straub spends two "long weekends" setting up her yard on 18th Avenue S. for the hundreds of trick-or-treaters that pass by.

This year, she's got an actual coffin with skeleton, a werewolf eating a zombie and some sort of creature, stuffed into a size 60-plus suit.

Add free hot chocolate and of course candy, and you've got an attraction that has been drawing spectators for 20 years.

Straub makes the decorations herself, and says it takes two long weekends to set everything up.

She said one elderly woman who spent a half hour looking at all of the decorations said she thought the display was "beautiful," but Straub said, she'd rather hear the word "scary."

The entire display will be taken down Halloween night, but changes every year.
