Police: Rash of Local Pharmacy Burglaries Connected

(WDAZ-TV) - Greater Grand Forks police say six pharmacy burglaries or attempted burglaries in the last few days could be related.

The most recent burglary was at the Pamida pharmacy in East Grand Forks.

Someone broke into the pharmacy early Monday and stole narcotic pills worth about $1,300.

There was a burglary attempt last night at the UND Family Practice pharmacy near the Ralph Engelstad Arena.

UND Police say the suspect ran away when he was confronted by two custodians.

Police say the man is about 6 feet tall with a slender build and he was wearing jeans and a hoodie.

East Grand Forks Police Lieutenant Rod Hajicek says the burglaries and attempts have been in Grand Forks, Polk, Pembina and Kittson Counties.
