MADDOCK, ND (WDAZ-TV) - North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem on Tuesday issued a cease and desist order against a Maddock, ND, business owner for violations of consumer fraud law.

Mike Jelle is owner of The Dryer Guy, which sells grain dryers and parts.

Consumer complaints and other information show that Jelle solicited and accepted over $190,000 but never delivered the products, according to a release from Stenehjem.

The Benson County State's Attorney has filed criminal charges in connection to Jelle's conduct.

"Mr. Jelle's pattern of fraud and deception is unacceptable and I am immediately banning him from conducting any further business activity, pending the completion of my investigation and any legal action, as well as the outstanding criminal charges," Stenehjem said.

Investigation will be carried out to find the extent of Jelle's alleged fraud.

Jelle is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 14. He's being represented by attorney David Dusek.
