State Patrol Deputy Hits Deer East of Crookston, MN

EAST OF CROOKSTON, MN (WDAZ-TV) - A Minnesota State Patrol deputy is OK after he struck a deer on Highway 2 on Tuesday night.
Deputy Trent Stahlekker was driving east at about 6:45 p.m. Near the intersection of Highway 2 and County Road 50, he struck the deer.
Stahlekker was wearing a seat belt and the vehicle's airbags deployed.
Sgt. Jesse Grabow says Stahlekker was taken to Riverview Health in Crookston for "non-serious" injuries.
Total damage to the squad car Stahlekker was driving isn't known yet.
