The holidays are typically a time for family and friends to gather.
Unfortunately not everyone has that option.
The good news is, you don't have to be alone.
For 36 years now volunteers at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks have been hosting an Annual Community Christmas Eve Dinner.
This year is no different.
Volunteers gathered this morning to prepare 52 turkeys for tomorrows festivities.
"It started out small, it started out realistically for the shut-ins and for those that didn't have a place to go and it just grew from there," says Volunteer Chet Paschke.
The free turkey dinner is open to everyone starting tomorrow, December 24th, at 3:30 afternoon and running until 6:30 at St. Michael's church youth center.
Last year the group served over 1,200 meals.
