GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A University of North Dakota fraternity has been suspended in the wake of a drug raid.

The Grand Forks narcotics task force swept through the Phi Delta Theta house Nov. 8 after twice sending an informant to buy marijuana. Officers arrested two people and cited six others.

UND could impose its own punishment. Spokesman Peter Johnson tells The Associated Press that the emergency suspension that has been imposed "puts a pause on activities" until campus officials determine if sanctions are warranted.

Sanctions for violations of UND's Code of Student Life range from restrictions on the recruitment of members to restrictions on the use of campus facilities.
