GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Rydell Auto Center presented a big check for the Community Violence Intervention Center on Wednesday.

The company raised more than $40,000 to help prevent abuse and violence.

The money was raised during Rydell's annual Car and Bike show.

Rydell gave the donations and all of the registration fees for the show, as well as a silent auction.

The company matched the $22,000 raised, and presented the CVIC with more than $44,000.

"We are very happy to partner with CVIC. They're great people. They volunteered and helped us out on the show. It was a huge success and we think it's going to continue to get bigger every year," general manager Brian Rydell said.

The CVIC is always taking donations and you can get more information on volunteering by calling 746-0405.
