Last Minute Shoppers Search for Gifts

Despite the weather, last minute shoppers still were out making their way through the aisles of stores.

It never fails, every year there's always last minute shoppers out looking for gifts, and even with the slick roads, people still made their way to the stores to finish their shopping.

Tom Bjerke/Shopper: I do the same thing every year, it starts on christmas eve.

That was the response from many of the shoppers that were out grabbing those last minute gifts. While some had good excuses for procastinating, others simply put it off.

Jeremy Byers/Shopper: Just pure laziness actually.

Although there were many women out making the rounds and searching for bargains, a majority of the shoppers were men.

Lucy Plumly/Target employee: Today we're seeing a lot of fathers and husbands in frantically looking for last minute gift ideas.

Sales this season have been good and last minute shoppers usually boost the numbers but this year there haven't been quite as many, probably due to the weather.

Plumly: We did see a huge influx last night, we had a lot of traffic in so I think people were planning ahead for the snow storm

Byers: I think the weather killed a lot of it.

Both Canadian shoppers and online sales have made a big impact this year. At this point the big sellers have been small appliances and toys.

Byers:I was trying to find care bears and I couldn't find them so I don't know if they're sold out or just not in season.

Bjerke: Little horses and dolls, lots of girls, lots of nieces.
