Labor Board Denies Union Appeal in Crystal Lockout

(WDAZ-TV) - The National Labor Relations Board won't support a claim by the BCTGM that says American Crystal Sugar failed to bargain in good faith.

(WDAZ-TV) - The National Labor Relations Board won't support a claim by the BCTGM that says American Crystal Sugar failed to bargain in good faith.

The Board denied the union's appeal of an earlier dismissal of that claim.

Crystal Sugar Vice President Brian Ingulsrud says that ruling affirms the company's commitment to reach a fair agreement.

Ingulsrud says it's time for union leaders to negotiate in good faith and seriously consider the company's proposals.

He says if the union is serious about that, Crystal Sugar will go back to the bargaining table.

About 1,300 union workers have been locked out of the company since August 1.
