The salvation Army is hoping one last push at their kettles today will help them reach there goal or 267-thousand dollars in donations.
The Salvation Army has been a little short on donations this year. As of today they were short about 40-thousand dollars of the 267-thousand dollar goals.
Bell ringers manned kettles through most of today. They say Christmas eve is usually one of there best donation days.
Gary Shields: "Today is always a big day for us but yesterday we had 12-thousand dollars in collections but today we're expecting a big day and we're going to go as long as we can."
Yesterday Shields put a 6-thousand dollar check in one the the red kettles. The salvation army says it was a big help in getting them closer to their goal.
