MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - A 22-year-old man faces two felony counts of
terrorizing during a disturbance at a party this week in Mandan.
Police say William Christensen was intoxicated when he got into
a fight with his girlfriend. When others tried to intervene,
Christensen bit one man's thumb and chin.
Court papers say Christensen picked up a rifle, chased people
with it and threatened to kill them. He also used a bayonet mounted
on top of the rifle to stab at a doorway that one woman was hiding
behind.
Police found the unloaded rifle beside a doorway.
Christensen was arrested at his apartment.
If convicted, Christensen could be sentenced to 10 years in
prison and $10,000 in fines.
He also faces one misdemeanor count of simple assault.
